SKYRUNNING CANADA

The Canadian Skyrunning National Series brings together mountain races from across Canada under one national competition, giving athletes the opportunity to earn points throughout the season and compete across a range of skyrunning disciplines.

MINOTAUR + THE NATIONAL SERIES

Minotaur is one of the race weekends that make up the 2027 Canadian Skyrunning National Series, with three opportunities to race and earn Series points.

MINOTAUR VK

4 KM · 970 M+ · JUNE 25, 2027

Kick off the weekend with a true Vertical Kilometer® at Castle Mountain Resort. Four kilometres of singletrack, talus, scree and relentless climbing deliver 970 metres of gain—and a fast introduction to what Minotaur considers fun.

MINOTAUR SKYRACE

33.5 KM · 2,900 M+ · JUNE 26, 2027

The signature Minotaur. A rugged, technical journey through the mountains of Crowsnest Pass, with 2,900 metres of climbing packed into 33.5 kilometres. Expect steep ridges, off-trail alpine terrain, big descents and the kind of course that has defined Minotaur since its beginning.

MINI-TAUR 10 KM

10.5 KM · 950 M+ · JUNE 27, 2027

Don’t let the distance fool you. Mini-Taur packs 950 metres of climbing into 10.5 rugged kilometres, combining alpine off-trail terrain, open forest and mountain trail. There’s a reason Minotaur calls it Canada’s Hardest 10 km.

RACE MINOTAUR. EARN NATIONAL SERIES POINTS.

Athletes competing at Minotaur can earn points toward the Canadian Skyrunning National Series standings.

Selected ISF-certified events also form part of the SNS, the Series pathway connected to Canadian national-team selection and international skyrunning opportunities.
